How to Easily Create Your Own QR Code

QR Codes, or Quick Response codes, are an advanced version of barcodes. Unlike conventional barcodes that are one-dimensional, QR Codes carry information in two dimensions.

Nowadays, many people use QR Codes for business, transactions, and registrations. The good news is that you can create your own QR Codes easily. In this tutorial, I'll show you how.

Creating a QR Code Online

A QR Code Generator is a tool that helps you create QR Codes. One popular site is GOQR.me. Here are the steps to make a QR Code using this site:

1. Select QR Code Type

First, go to the GOQR.me page and choose the type of QR Code you want to create. There are nine different types, including website/url, text, contact, SMS, phone, and location.

I'll demonstrate how to create a QR Code for a URL. So, I select the URL type.

2. Enter the Link

Copy and paste the link you want to turn into a QR Code. The site will instantly generate the QR Code.

3. Test the QR Code

Next, test the QR Code you created. I scanned the code in the live preview on the right side of the screen, and it worked. The QR Code took me to the Carisinyal page.

4. Download the QR Code

Once you're finished, download the QR Code. Click the "Download" button below the QR Code.

After clicking "Download," several options will appear. You can change the color and size of the QR Code in the dialogue box. Once you're done, choose one of the "Download QR Code as" options.

You can download the QR Code in PNG, JPEG, SVG, or EPS format. For example, I downloaded the QR Code in PNG format.

That's it! And as mentioned on the site, you can use this QR Code for free, even for commercial purposes.

Creating a QR Code on Android

You can also easily create a QR Code using an Android app. One such app is QR Code Generator, available for free on the Google Play Store, though it does display ads. Here’s how to use it:

1. Select the QR Code Type

Open the QR Code Generator app. Tap on the section with the red box. You’ll see various types of QR Codes you can create. For example, I chose the URL type. Feel free to choose the type that suits your needs.

2. Generate the QR Code

Enter the link you want to turn into a QR Code. Then, press the button with an arrow on the top right.

The QR Code will appear automatically. You can save it by pressing the save icon. Now you have successfully created your own QR Code.

Creating your own QR Code is simple and practical. You don’t need to bother copying links. Just create a QR Code and share it with others. Easy, right? Did you manage to do it?
